Qeqertarsuaq offers a unique untouched backcountry, unparalleled in all of Greenland. Kuannit, our hiking destination, is named after the wild Angelica plant that grows here. If your tour coincides with the Angelica growing season, you’ll even get the chance to taste this traditional Greenlandic ingredient, still used in local cuisine today.
Don’t forget to bring your camera and binoculars, as we might be lucky enough to spot a whale along the way! Our experienced guide will be with you throughout the hike, providing fascinating insights into the region’s flora, fauna, and cultural heritage.

Practical info:
Our adventure begins at the meeting point which you can see on the booking confirmation, where we will start our hike together. The same spot will serve as our endpoint upon returning. To ensure a comfortable journey, please bring your own water bottle, which you can conveniently refill at the rivers along the path to Kuannit.
For optimal traction and support, we highly recommend donning sturdy hiking shoes or boots. As the route to Kuannit can occasionally traverse swampy terrain, GORE-TEX boots would be a practical choice, ensuring your feet stay dry and comfortable throughout the hike. Additionally, it’s advisable to bring wind or waterproof outer layers to shield yourself from the elements and enhance your overall experience.
