Terms and Conditions

By booking a tour or using our services, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Disko Adventures I/S, the tour operator.

All rates quoted are based on the current purchasing prices in Greenland and are in Danish kroner (DKK).

Booking and Payment

You can book tours through our website www.diskoadventures.gl. Reservations are considered final once payment is completed, and you receive confirmation via email. Alternatively, you can book via email at info@diskoadventures.gl. To contact you regarding any tour changes, we require your name, email, phone number, and accommodation details during your stay. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your email address or phone number.

To secure your reservation, a non-refundable fee specified by Disko Adventures is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid by the date specified in the booking confirmation. We accept payment by wire/bank transfer, cash, or Mobile Pay. All payments must be made in the currency specified by Disko Adventures. Failure to make the payment within the specified time may result in the cancellation of your reservation.

Cancellation and Refunds

Disko Adventures I/S reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, ice, technical issues, or safety concerns. In such cases, we will do our best to offer an alternative tour or provide a full refund.

Cancellation by Customer:

If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us by letter or email. Your cancellation will be effective from the date we receive your written notification. Please note that cancellation charges may apply, and the refund amount will depend on the notice period provided before the tour date, as described in our cancellation policy below.

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations made up to 30 days before the tour start date are eligible for a full refund, unless otherwise specified in the confirmation.
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour start date will incur a cancellation fee of 35% of the total booking amount. The remaining amount will be refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the tour start date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount. The remaining amount will be refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour start date will incur a cancellation fee of 75% of the total booking amount. The remaining amount will be refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour start date will be charged the full price.
• Any additional rules or conditions specific to your booking will be outlined in the confirmation email.

Transportation Delays and Communication Responsibility

Please be aware that delays in transportation can occur while traveling in Greenland. Disko Adventures I/S cannot be held responsible for such delays. It is your responsibility to promptly inform us if you experience any delays that may impact your scheduled tour. We will make every effort to find suitable alternatives that align with the tour and accommodate your program during your stay.

Tour Modifications

Disko Adventures I/S reserves the right to modify or alter tours, itineraries, schedules, or services due to reasons beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes as soon as possible. In the event of significant changes, you may choose to accept the modified arrangements, request an alternative tour, or receive a refund.

All programs can be changed or canceled at any moment during the trip to assure the safety of the clients and staff of Disko Adventures.

Dog sledding tours may experience changes in route or length due to snow, ice, or trail conditions. The musher (driver) has the sole authority to decide the tour route, and no compensation or refund will be provided for changes or shortened tours.

Similarly, hiking tours may be subject to changes due to weather and trail conditions that prevent the tour from proceeding as planned. The guide on the hike has the authority to make such decisions, and no compensation or refund will be given for changes or shortened tours.

Health and Safety

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and mentally fit to undertake tour activities. Some tours may require a certain level of physical fitness or have age restrictions, which will be communicated prior to booking. Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by our guides and staff during the tour. Failure to comply may result in the termination of the tour without a refund.

Liability

While Disko Adventures I/S takes all reasonable precautions to ensure participant safety during tours, we are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or inconvenience caused by any third party, force majeure events, or actions beyond our control. Participants are advised to obtain travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical expenses, and personal belongings.

Insurance

Safety is our top priority, and we do our best to ensure that everyone on tour with us has a safe and fun experience; however, accidents can still occur. Disko Adventures I/S has product insurance through Illit Forsikringit Agentur A/S. Please note that this insurance does not cover personal belongings. Should personal belongings be damaged or lost on a tour, it is at one’s own expense or insurance. We, therefore, recommend that you check with your insurance company to ensure coverage for these cases.

Privacy

Disko Adventures I/S respects your privacy and will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. By booking a tour, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
