Tour Description:
Embark on an unforgettable 10 km guided hike through some of the most scenic and popular spots in Qeqertarsuaq, Disko Island! Our journey begins in town, passing through notable landmarks such as the black sand beach and the iconic football pitch, framed by massive icebergs that offer an incredible Arctic backdrop.

Once we leave the town behind, the adventure truly begins as we head to Kuannit—a hidden gem known for its dramatic volcanic formations and vibrant flora, including the wild Angelica plant. Despite being one of the most popular destinations on Disko Island, this route remains peaceful, allowing you to experience the landscape with few other people around for a truly immersive journey.

Continuing on, we’ll make our way to the impressive Qorlortorsuaq waterfall. During the season when seals gather to feed, we may spot groups of seals eating together from a distance—a unique and memorable sight. Throughout the hike, your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating stories about the area’s unique geology, local traditions, and diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for seabirds and, if we’re lucky, whales breaching in the waters of Disko Bay!

Difficulty: The terrain is primarily easy and accessible to most hikers, though there are a few sections with uneven ground, requiring moderate mobility. With a gradual elevation gain of about 80 m, this hike is ideal for those looking to explore Greenland’s wild beauty without strenuous climbing. Please note: This tour may not be suitable for individuals with limited mobility.
